What to expect and what to know about your session

Here, you'll discover all the essential details you need to know before, during, and after your session.

Scheduling / Booking:

Date & Time: Together, we will select a day and time that aligns best with your schedule, taking into consideration the time of day setting you prefer for your photo session.

Upon Booking, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out that will help me get to know you and your family, as well as understand your expectations for the session and session type. This information will enable me to tailor the session to ensure it is as enjoyable as possible and to ensure we can accomplish getting the best photos.

Location: Selecting a location can be challenging. If you have a preferred location for your session, please let me know. We can discuss this upon booking.

If you are uncertain about a location, you may refer to the "Locations" link below, where I provide a list of recommended locations along with their associated travel fees.

Attire: This can often be the most stressful aspect of preparing for your session. If you are unsure about what to wear or selecting a color palette for clothing and coordinating outfits, please let me know. I can provide suggestions and examples of color palettes to assist you.

Down payment: At the time of booking, and after a date and time are agreed upon, a $20.00 - $100.00 down payment (depending on your session type) will be required to secure your session date and time. Please understand that all downpayments are non-refundable, unless your session is rescheduled or canceled by the photographer.

Agreement and Limited License Release: At the time of collecting your down payment, I will also send you an agreement and a release to look over and sign. This agreement will include your session description, session total, terms of use, copyright, and other information. Please understand that these forms must be completed and returned before your session can take place.

Leading up to Your Session:

1 Week Before Your Session: I will reach out to you to confirm your appointment date, time, location, and the remaining balance due (via invoice).

1 Day Before Your Session: I will reach out to you again to confirm your appointment date, time, location, and the remaining balance due via invoice (if your balance due is not yet paid in full).

I will also be happy to answer any questions you may have during these times.

Please understand that your balance must be paid in full before your session can take place.

At Your Session

Arrival: I ask that you please arrive on time for your session. Any tardiness may result in fewer photos

Please arrive on time. If you are late to your session, it may result in fewer photos for the same session price. There are no refunds or prorated prices due to tardiness.

Payment balance: If you have any outstanding balance, it must be available upon arrival and rendered before your session can begin.

Payment types:

Recommended - Cash - If paying in cash, please have the exact amount available, I may not have change available.

Recommended - Payment Link: I can send you a payment link to pay the remainder of your session. Please understand that there is a service charge fee when paying over a link.

Check - You can also pay by check, upon arrival. Please understand that payment via check may result in a delay in receiving your previews. No photos, proofs, or previews are released until your check clears. There is a $50.00 additional fee for any bounced or canceled check.

Shooting Time: Relax, laugh, and enjoy. We will have a wonderful time. I will direct you on what to do, what poses to make, and we will take time capturing these wonderful moments together.

After Your Session

Basic Sessions:

1 Week After Your Session: I will prepare a sneak peek of your photos. I can send this to you via email or text message.

Within 4-6 weeks: Your photos will be ready and available for you. You’ll also get a usage release stating your useage rights, allowing you to download your high-resolution photos.

Mini Session:

1 Week After Your Session: I will prepare a sneak peek of your photos. I can send this to you via email or text message.

Within 4-6 weeks: your proofs will be provided at this time, allowing you to choose the photo you would like. As soon as you choose your selected photos, your photos will be ready and available for you. You’ll also get a usage release stating your usage rights, allowing you to download your high-resolution photos.
